We use encoding.com for other things, but I don't believe it can do what we wish here: We need to grab the video from a website visitor's webcam, send the video to a server - preferably ours - to be served on demand later. Make sense? (thought ankoder.com does this, it doesn't.)

Am I missing something? I know how to capture a bitmap from a webcam and send it to the server with no special server software. Can one do something similar for a video without FMS, Red5, Wowza or a subscription service that uses one of these?
