Please use flashrom 0.9.1 (your flashrom version is too old and has
problems).

Do you have a backup of the old chip contents? If you created a backup with
 flashrom -r backup.rom
before you tried to write, you can check if anything changed:
 flashrom -V backup.rom
If it says "VERIFIED", everything is still OK.

You can chat with us on irc.freenode.net/#flashrom and we can try to
help you. More information at http://www.flashrom.org/IRC

Please run (with flashrom 0.9.1)
 flashrom -r broken.rom
and mail broken.rom to <[email protected]> and I will
look into it.

Regards,
Carl-Daniel
