Upgrading to latest BIOS for dual-proc quad core support.

Did not lose my MAC addresses. Eight cores of joy. Wish I'd found
Flashrom before wasting a couple hours noodling through endless
variations of freedos thumb drive messes.

hello!

thanks for the report and your effort, but success with this board was
already reported and is even noted on
http://www.flashrom.org/Supported_hardware
;)

Stefan;

I was aware that it was cataloged as working. I was also aware that there were issues in the past with Tyan boards.

Having never flashed any of the dozens of computers I've built or repaired I was a little nervous when you read the existing BIOS (using flashrom) and it doesn't match (md5sum) any of the dozen BIOS updates Tyan has put out.

This is also a semi-production system that I couldn't afford to have down for a week or three with a dead motherboard.

Finally, I was specifically asked to send all the particulars that I sent.

Again, thank you for for flashrom it was a boon in my time of need.

Corey
