I had a stupidifying problem with the board - if you disable legacy USB by accident, there's no way to get back to BIOS, since USB keyboard no longer works during POST. Duh. I hoped I could upgrade the BIOS from Linux and get rid of the problem. Ripping the battery off for a good while helped, and I was able to upgrade the BIOS at POST.
