How long have you waited? Depending on a firmware installed, Bus Pirate may be a little slow: check the Bus Pirate Community Firmware project for the firmware updates. Also, try running this with a higher verbosity, i.e. -VV or -VVV or even more V - that could give you some hints. Also please make sure that your connectivity is good enough
