Dave,
I just installed AW on Ubuntu? 9.04 and I am coping Olivia 8/500 @ 100 hz but I
have no waterfall display no matter how loud I turn up the radio.? Also, the
sound card will only allow the OSS option.? It is transmitting and receiving,
just no waterfall display.'

All,

When I'm not interactively using fldigi on the transceiver, I leave it
on and listening to my Ten-Tec RX320.? Have been doing this for
a while, but noticed that the number of stations spotted per
week and per day increased significantly (>20%) over the
last week.? So much so that I made the "top 20" on the
PSK Reporter Statistics for the first time ever.? It's probably
*not* propagation improvements, since that would improve
everyone's numbers, not just mine.

Was there something in 3.13AU and AV that improved spotting
performance?

I'm not complaining, mind you.? ???:-)

I've been reading the comments on the waterfall width. About 2000Hz is
all my rig is cabable of.

I just make use of the waterfall shift control, this is the reason it
was incorporated into fldigi. One mouse click and I'm right back to my
starting place. I don't know what could be easier.

Its very easy as an alpha tester to make suggestions that will improve
your particular situation. However, keep in mind that changes to fldigi
affect many users, not just a few. So try to keep the overall picture
in mind.

Would I prefer reverting back to a settable width, yes, I would. Would
I be discouraged if it didn't happen. No not really.

Just my thoughts.

Version 3.13AW
? ? wfdisp-mod
? ? ? ? * Restore upper limit on waterfall display
? ? PSK250-AFC
? ? ? ? * Stabilize AFC for all PSK baud rates.? PSK-125/250 exhibited
? ? ? ? ? instability in presence of QRN.

? ? * http://www.w1hkj.com/alpha/fldigi-3.13AW.dmg
? ? * http://www.w1hkj.com/alpha/fldigi-3.13.pet

Known bug - rig-qso minimized log does not clear the RSTout when the
clear button is pressed.

The restore upper limit on frequency display is not a reversion to the
older code.? Changing upper limit does not require a restart of the
program to become effective.? You can see the changes immediately on the
waterfall or the spectrum display.? The scale and scale markers now
extend the full width of the waterfall.? Most obvious if you use in full
screen mode on a large display.? Moved the configuration for these items
under the waterfall / FFT processing tab:

I would welcome suggestions as to where best to place these
configuration items.
