Roger is correct. The reason is that to our knowledge the FT-1500M does not support CAT control as the HF rigs and certain "base" VHF/UHF models. I guess Yaesu figures that CAT control of a mobile transceiver is of dubious value and dropped that idea sometime on the early to mid '90s.
