Roger is correct.  The reason is that to our knowledge the FT-1500M
does not support CAT control as the HF rigs and certain "base" VHF/UHF
models.  I guess Yaesu figures that CAT control of a mobile transceiver
is of dubious value and dropped that idea sometime on the early to mid
'90s.  I say that because I have an FT-212RH I bought in '92 that
supports a few CAT commands, but the FT-5100 I bought in '93 does not.
