I let Dave reply about the "new modem", but I strongly suspect it would be a separate modem entry in the list. Let us know when it in on the git repository and I will download and perform some test. I can use QSSTV running in Linux for comparison. I don't know if there is any issue with that software in weather fax mode which could provide a false test result.
