The following are some notes and observation on the use
of fldigi-3.13BV.dmg in the XE RTTY contest:
- Managed to workaround around the annoying flipping macro
sets experienced in other contests by disabling the mouse
scroll wheel for the contest.
- Really liked the new View/Controls (short form) contest
menus. I used the Rig control and contest option and as
well as unchecking the more detailed Quick Entry box.
- Learned fldigi has trouble with mouse selected reports
separated by dashes like 123-123. It selects the whole
string. When I noticed a report with a dash separator, my
workaround was to type in the report.
The subject of space vs. dash separated reports was beat to
death last month on the rtty-contesting reflector and some
still continue to use the dash.
