I too have seen this problem but only in conjunction with the,
"incorrect number of channels," error. Once I change a different
sound-card source and change back, the problem goes away, jumping to a
modem center frequency selection value of around 450Hz. After that,
click-tuning is normal.

I have seen this problem on the windows version which is where I do
most of my fldigi testing.

I'm sorry, I should have reported this instead of just working around it.
