Would it be possible to have the squelch open when an RSID signal is received for certain modes, then close when the data stops?
In our MARS nets many members can't hear the commands to change modes, and if the squelch would open, it would be better to copy in poor conditions or with weak signals. We typically use MT-63 or OLIVIA for sending traffic on MARS nets. It could be made mode specific or only for modes that would benefit from an open squench.
