Thank you!  I had the box checked. 

File/Text Capture/   [  ] Log all RX/TX text

I unchecked the box and the logging stopped. I probably checked the box before 
starting a 
contest to have a backup and forgot to uncheck the box after the contest.

Thanks again .... very easy fix to stop the files.
