More than one has questioned why I selected the Kenwood TS-570S in
the Hamlib rig selector. The Kenwood TS-590S is not currently an option
in Hamlib and the TS-570S worked perfect with the TS-590S when I was
using the SignaLink USB and the Keyspan USA-28A Serial-to-USB adapter.
There were issues with the other Kenwood options and the only one that
worked correct with the TS-590S was the TS-570S.

I could be wrong but I do not think the rig selection has anything to do
with Hamlib PTT issue.

The SLAB_USBtoUART used in the Device selector is the USB to UART Bridge
VCP Driver from Silicon Labs. The drivers for various platforms are aviable
for download at

http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx

In addition to working with the Kenwood TS-590S, I understand the Silicon
Labs drivers also work with new Icom IC-7410. I do not think the driver has
anything to do with the Hamlab PTT issue since the driver works perfect with
RigCAT.

Has anyone tested and used the "PTT via Hamlib command" option?
