If the file comes from standard input with option '-f -', it is assumed to be ADIF file. The output is either ADIF, csv or simple text. Two ADIF files can be merged to one. In this case the output is sorted in ascending time order if both of the input files are already sorted. If the QSO calls are same in the two files and the times match within minutes given by the switch -t, then the two ADIF records are merged to one. Data in the records from the first file are not over written if the second file has some same records filled with data. This kind of online merging works only if the two QSO records have very close the same time and there is no other QSO in between the two. An alternate implementation (although more complicated) would be to select several records on the log viewer, and merge them on a clock. But I prefer your approach.The output are a unified log without duplicated QSO and enriched fields from all logs processed in ADIF 2.2.7 format. Then, questions: 1 - Have I reinvented the wheel? 2 - The software have a real demand/need in users? 3 - Where I can publish it to make it public available as GPL aka. FREE SOFTWAREIf there is an interest, I could implement that in fldigi.I hope to see feedback on this please... Anyone that wish to unify many logs with duplicated entries or want to polish an actual log, must feel free to contact me for a test... at the end the script will get more polished from the use with diverse data...While we are at it, I implemented a feature in the log viewer: A "Dial" button which sets the frequency and the mode of the currenly selected log record. This is actually very convenient. This allows indirectly to move a log frequency in the frequencies list (Although the modem is not present but can sometimes be inferred).
