Additional info: even though the std=c++-x or std=gnu++0x is present on the command line going in, it doesn't make it to the CXXFLAGS in the Makefiles.
If I manually add it to the Makefiles, the following error occurs earlier, in fldigi-rdx_extract CXX fldigi-rx_extract.o logger/rx_extract.cxx: In function ‘void rx_extract_add(int)’: logger/rx_extract.cxx:100:31: error: reference to ‘end’ is ambiguous logger/rx_extract.cxx:44:13: error: candidates are: const char* end /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.0/../../../../include/c++/4.6.0/initializer_list:96:36: error: template<class _Tp> constexpr const _Tp* std::end(std::initializer_list<_Tp>) /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.0/../../../../include/c++/4.6.0/bits/range_access.h:97:26: error: template<class _Tp, long unsigned int _Nm> _Tp* std::end(_Tp (&)[_Nm]) /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.0/../../../../include/c++/4.6.0/bits/range_access.h:78:59: error: template<class _Container> decltype (__cont.end()) std::end(const _Container&) /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.0/../../../../include/c++/4.6.0/bits/range_access.h:68:53: error: template<class _Container> decltype (__cont.end()) std::end(_Container&) My next step, after the gym and a motorcycle ride to clear my head, is to remove the flag and convert the new initializer style back to regular assignments. -- P.J.
