Maybe this could be cleanly implemented with two macros having the name
"ON:INIT" and "ON:EXIT" ?

By the way, maybe this could be generalised to other types of events with
macros having names such as :
ON:SQUELCH : Signal detected.
ON:MESSAGE  : Reception of a message

... etc ...
