I've just tried your method and I have a small point to add.
If you have a windows machine and you try to run the ant
thirdparty-downloads from your SDK folder and that folder is inside your
program files (which it is by default for flashbuilder installation) then it
will fail as it can't get permissions to write there.
I copied the sdk directory outside of the protected folder structure and run
the ant script from there, then copied the folder back again.
I have actually just posted my question at the same time I seen your email
in the list, but it hasn't resolved my issue.
Thanks.
