I wasn't planning on ditching you at all. :)
The fact is, what I am going to make with AST is a
walker/visitor/writer setup using the IASNode framework and is
completely independent of the FlaconJS implementation as it stands (no
branching needed or code muddling).
The above "project" is baby steps and will be strictly prototype for
I'm sure a good amount of time.
I already said in previous emails that getting the FalconJS compiler
working and producing js that will suit ActionScript component
development is first priority. I just happens that I love
multitasking, at the smae time I am programing an opensource audio
framework for Android apps. I'm quite comfortable with my current
situation... knock on wood. :)
Regardless of what Jangaroo can do for us, its golden to have a mind
like Frank's in the conversation.

When we got the basic language features up and running, we could continue
with merging our approach with Erik's Google-Closure-friendly output and
see what happens.
I would propose a different route: let's first get FalconJS to produce
"my" Closure-friendly output, as Mike has already shown he's pretty
close on that. That will allow me to continue with the development of
the FlexJS frameworks which Alex started and documented. If that's
done, I don't mind if that is put in a branch and Mike/Frank work on
Jangaroo implementation.
This way I think that we get the best of both worlds: I get a branch
of FalconJS to continue my contribution (which I hate to see go to
waste, obviously) with and Mike gains experience with the compiler,
which I'm sure will help a lot when working on the Jangaroo code.
