Hi Thomas, Good to hear you're interested in the SDK!
I think a good place to start for you is to use the Flex SDK Installer utility provided by the project. You can find it here: http://incubator.apache.org/flex/installer.html (use the download badge provided on that page) Install into a directory where your IDE (Adobe Flash Builder is most often used) looks for the SDK, open that IDE and away you go. If you have any questions on how to use the SDK, I think you best ask those on the "flex users" mailing list: http://incubator.apache.org/flex/mailing-lists.html Have fun!
