Is FM dead too? I needed to build the FM 5.2-beta from the github and make
my own edits to get it to work.

We have 4.2-beta, 5.2-beta and 6.0-snapshot - how many years since the last
non-beta release? The docs are way out of date (it's best to just read the
code). The mailing lists is filtered so as to be annoying at best. There
are three heads now (VELO, Chris and Sonatype - who seem to have shut down
some of the best docs), two repos and no script to make one. I tried
working with Chris to help him test the 6.0 code but got no response on
private emails for a weeks.
