Yes, you can do a mvn compile on a clean repo with projects that depend on each other, and the artifacts will be resolved from the reactor instead of the repo > Because they should be using the same code to do that =/ if the link stuff is a proper artifact, then yes, it would. If it's not a proper artifact of the build, then the resolver may not know about it, or needs to look for it special or something. I've never used the link stuff, so I don't know what it does.
