So 4.0.0.10485 does not support the xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx" But 4.0.0.13875 does (and doesn't support the old halo one). So either use 4.0.0.10485 and switch the namespace back to the halo one, or use 4.0.0.13875. And be careful when looking at Flex 4 samples on the web, as some will be new namespace and some will be old :(.
