Sorry, you misunderstand At work we can access https://repository.sonatype.org/content/groups/flexgroup/com/adobe/flex/framework/rpc/4.5.0.17077/ and this is the only place we are allowed to access for the flex sdk (and so we are NOT allowed to access my homebrew one (flash-nexus)).
Therefore it is with the sonatype 4.5 SDK POM that we are encountering our build error.
