I originally had it set up to host the framework locally but given the size of the download, it just seemed like a waste of bandwidth to not use Adobe's servers. Not to mention it is one or more HTTP connections that would be available to our domain.
I think we are going to just deal with the 404 Adobe calls (textLayout) in our log files.
