just want to mention that switching to system scope breaks my compile,
the artifact is not added to the library path.

If using system scope is so bad, shouldn't that produce an error or at
least a warning?

PS For those folks who want to deploy local artifacts similar to what
"system" does, read the accepted answer on this question
