Indeed, the problem is that I am generating AS3 files for all the classes in
my jars, it seems. I have tried to look at your pom.xml to better
understand how to point it to the right places, but am having a miserable
time figuring out the settings available for the generator. None of my
combinations seem to work.

Were you able to find any documentation at all for it? I've even tried to
download the plugin sources and step through them so I could potentially
understand them a little better, but cannot manage to compile the sources.
I keep getting an missing artifact
error: org.apache.maven.shared:maven-filtering:jar:1.0-beta-3-SONATYPE-682132

Thanks,

Eric
