I have run into the same problem. Can get maven to work in a sandbox environment; however, when the build runs under Maven 3.0.3 in Jenkins it fails. I have found that using a freestyle job which uses the local system maven works fine. This leads one to believe the maven- plugin that Jenkins uses is the source of our problems.
