Thanks for the answers folks. No VELO, I don't think you'd ever owe me an answer, I just expected a snarky one answer when I wrote " I'm using my own repo with 4.1 deployed according to the scripts provided by Drago Dascalita's blog post." I should have put that higher in the post. I also didn't imagine the security sandbox issue was SDK related. I gave a good try at debugging, looking into the flexmojos code and finding related issues.
I'll make another post about my issues with using the flexmojos repo just as soon as I get an Internet pipe in my new house to rule out my company's firewall.
