I've got a function that runs about 10 seconds right now. It takes an xml structure and inserts several child nodes into it. At the first part of the function, I set the currentState = 'computing', but I guess the function locks out the screen redraws during that time. Is there any way to force it to do the screen redraw, then continue on with the function?
