It would be nice to get a more definitive answer.  I find if I do not
understand the WHY of something, I often attempt to do actions I am not
allowed to do.

As I understand it using the [Bindable] command says that this data is
dynamic and when the data changes I want any controls using this
variable to be updated with the new data.  

Since I'm fairly confident that the English month names where not going
to change anytime soon, I did not need any controls connected to this
variable to be updated at run time.
