You can supply x/y coords to any elements, regardless of it's
container's layout model. Something like this:
<?xml .... ?>
<vbox xmlns="http...." width="100%" height="100%">
... children ...
<vbox id="btm" y="{this.height - btm.height}">
<text text="hello" />
</vbox>
</vbox>
