Douglas you might be correct but I don't understand why they set the 
access level in the Destination configuration:

 From the remoting-config.xml

<!-- define the resolution rules and access level of the cfc being invoked -->
<!-- allow "public and remote" or just "remote" methods to be invoked -->

As I understand it, it should only allow remote methods to be invoked.

So why to put that in there if all public methods accessible? And what 'remote' 
does then?
