Dear Akshay Even i am not so expert in Flex but what i learnt is we cannot acces the files from the client machine..
This is to increase the security because some hackers may create some Flex applications which will either destroy the files in the client machine or may steal some confidential data.. But search for some external libraries which can do the same..
