Hi,
You can get the selectedIndex only if you select an item. If you are looking
for the index of the item in the dataprovider, you can use the itemRollOver
event and find the rowIndex
<mx:List itemRollOver="onItemRollOver(event)"/>
private function onItemRollOver(event:ListEvent):void
{
var rowIndex = event.rowIndex;
}
