Well this may be the correct way. But you can't take the full advantage of LCDS and BlazeDS. It has a good facility for data Synchronization. (Update, Delete and Insert operations).
LCDS and BlazeDS are mixture of both Java componets and AS components. It provides a flexible support for messaging techniques like AMF, Channels etc. I think you have to consider these LCDS and BlazeDS techniques. Still can enter into debate but i want you to go thru the documents on Adobe site.
