I don't think it's "wrong", but it depends. Are you thinking of developing the main part of your website in Flex, or just some small parts? Beware that it's easier to be indexed by search engines when the website is developed using semantic HTML (and CSS).
Besides, I think that, maybe, when developing a personal website, you won't get to use the best features of Flex... and some things may be easier to develop using "plain old Flash" or other technologies.
