Actually, these are someout old/out-of-date posts at this point.

Since then, the page has been redesigned, a FAQ has been posted
clarifying, etc.

The vast majority (over 95%) of folks who get the Flash Player never see
this page.  This is something you control.  If you use the free Flash
Player detection kit, or the same functionality built into Flex, you can
"transparently" deploy the Flash Player to your end-users, without them
ever coming to this site.  The only folks who come to this page are
people who choose to.

We will never bundle anything with the Flash Player installer and are
committed to improving the options such as the detection kit to make
sure you can deploy to your end customers in as simple and seamless a
manner as possible.
