We've looked at Laszlo and the biggest issue we have is that it's components are proprietary. As component developers, we'd like to make our components available to Laszlo users but don't want to re-write them. If the framework was similar than some adjustment could be made, but last I checked (which was a while ago) they still exported to Flash 5.
With Flex we can pretty easily migrate our components from Flash to Flex--we have a fully working version. The only issue with Flex is gauging how many people are actually using it in production (I see a lot of playing and testing, not too many reports of production apps beyond the MM case studies) and whether or not the user base is enough to support commercial 3rd party components (last thing we want to do is introduce components and then find the user base is too small to continue to support them as Flex evolves).
