Hey Vinny,

 

Sounds like your machine setup is a bit goosed; is this the first time you've installed

Flex/Java ?   I'm not the best person to describe the integrated JRun install, and if/how

that sets things like JAVA_HOME correctly.

 

But sounds like your problems are a little more fundamental than Flex right now...

I have tried to start a debugging session with fdb (C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flex\bin>fdb) to print the stack traces. However, while Flex and JRun are running the console shows

Error: could not find JRE
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.

 

How do I get this thing going?

Can you send the stacktrace -- is it a NPE in the Flex application, or in your own

application ?  We experience NPEs all the time :) but usually it's our fault :)

During the last days I am regulary confronted with a "java.lang.NullPointerException" error. After a reinstall of Flex everything works fine for a while until the message pops up again. Is this a bug some of you experienced as well?
