Please make sure to include your
use-case. Generic “I’d like file-upload and I’d like a
WYSIWYG editor doesn’t help us as much”.
With that said, we’ve received alot
of these I’m sure and are trying to take them into account, so extra
submissions along the same lines as what you’ve seen here probably won’t
change things too much.

Both these items have been submitted as
enhancement requests for next release. Filling out the wish form always helps
add weight to the cause…

Subject: [flexcoders] WYSIWYG
Editor & File Upload
Apologies if this appears twice, but the first
post appears not to
have gone through.
I am investigating the possibility of putting a
Flex interface
management interface on our CMS application.
Two features that are
pretty important to a CMS are a WYSIWYG editor and
file upload.
I have seen Flash based WYSIWYG editors in the
past, but I am not
finding anything specifically for Flex. Does
anybody know of such a
solution or have any pointers as to how to add a
WYSIWYG editor to a
Flex form?
I have seen the jsp workaround solution for file
upload that was
mentioned in the archives. However, since it
appears this workaround
showed up about the time Flex 1.5 was released, I
was wondering if
there was anything more recent? I havenot
studied the jsp script
much, but I want something that flows with the
Flex UI, not something
that looks like it was an after-thought.
Any pointers or info would be appreciated.
Thanks
