Yes, and they don't seem to work in practice. It is a spidering/coverage problem -- they come looking and pick up whatever the latest messages at the time. I would expect Yahoo search to actually work much better with their Groups site, but it doesn't. Here's what I thought: 1. Convert the archives to mbox format using yahoo2mbox: http://www.tt-solutions.com/en/products/yahoo2mbox/ This seems to work well; I've tried it (my IP got banned for hitting the site too often :P ) 2. Create HTML site structure using hypermail: http://www.hypermail-project.org/ 3. Add search to it somehow: http://www.crispen.org/doc/hypermail/archive_search.html We may have to repeat these steps for new mail on a weekly basis. I'm not sure about the ToS though. Manish
