Similar to recent thread on htmlText property of the Text/Label/TextArea
control:

<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.macromedia.com/2003/mxml";>
<mx:Script>
var fred:String = "<a
href='mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]'>Fred</a>";
</mx:Script>
<mx:Text id="t2" htmlText="{fred}" />
</mx:Application>

If you don't need to do binding, you can use a CDATA block to get rid of
those unsightly &glt; and < entities:

<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.macromedia.com/2003/mxml";>
<mx:Text>
<mx:htmlText>

Fred

</mx:htmlText>
</mx:Text>
</mx:Application>

Subject: [flexcoders] RE: How to email

I trying to allow a user to click some text and get the same effect
as clicking a mailto link in an HTML page where the user's local email
client would open up a New Message window.

How can I do that in Flex?

Thanks.
