I have actually ran across this same issue today, and the second option is not working for me in this case. I believe that this may be caused by the fact that this one view page is loading some flash comm files and takes a little longer to load and register the associated view helper. My results are returning from my event quicker than the view helper is being registered, so nothing is occurring when I call my funtions in the view helper.
Is there any way to register all of my view helpers in the beginning, like how we load all of the commands?
