We’re changing that class around
significantly which is why it hasn’t been documented. We’re also
hoping that working with XML will be much easier in 2.0 negating much of the need
for deserialization. If you really need access to the undocumented/unsupported
decoder you could probably use one of the techniques others have posted about
viewing our source code and check HTTPService to see how it’s done. J

Matt,
We tried to convert the XMLObjectOutput (even with
the help of MM
support) and we still ended up with something that
was only about 97%
compatible. You can always find cases of XML
that it does not give
the same results for.
The danger is that if you guys change the
internals of how HTTPService
does the deserialization, the our code will be old
and out of sync.
I think it would be good if this code can be
called externally (then
we do not have to see your gnarly code!).
Make it a public function.
