Don't we have to have a mapping AS class (with Object.registerClass() method)in order to pass back the dataprovider to POJO?

You'll have to send the object to the service by including it as a parameter or something. Honestly I don't do web services, so you probably know better. All I can say is that the dataProvider property contains the data you're looking for, and you want to send it to the server side using RemoteObject, HTTPService or (in your case) WebService. Yahoo!
