Hi,

There's a couple of ways do to this - the best solution will depend on how
you're planning on using the views across applications. eg, do you always
want to use the latest version in all applications, or migrate applications
to new views.

You could compile the components into a SWC and drop them into the
individual WEB-INF\flex\user_classes directory of each application. This
would let you version control the views and let you choose when to upgrade
to a new version. Alternatively, locate the SWC, or the directory structure
containing the views (if they are to change often) to another location on
your server and change the flex class path in flex-config.xml of each
application to point to that location.

Cheers,

Ali

Subject: [flexcoders] Suggested location of shared View files in Cairngorm

In constructing our application in the Cairngorm architecture, we would like
to store our view.mxml files in a central location so they can be shared
across applications. Can anyone suggest a proper directory structure for
common files? Possibly in the WEB_INF somewhere?
