Title: At runtime setting an accordion child invisible
Hi Jereon,

It seems that the Accordion wasn't designed for the runtime manipulation of the number of visible children, and does not easily lend itself to be changed in such a way. I imagine you'll have to extend the component, overriding layoutChildren(), measure() and probably a few other of its internal methods.

Cheers,

Ali

Subject: RE: [flexcoders] At runtime setting an accordion child invisible

To follow up on my own question:
Accordion.getHeaderAt(index).visible = false  produces a rather funny result. The child is rendered invisible, but the accordion 'reserves' a blank space for that child.
So, now I need to tell the accordion that he may not show that blank space.

Any suggestions?

Jeroen.

Onderwerp: [flexcoders] At runtime setting an accordion child invisible

Hi all,

I need to set an accordion child invisible (remove it from the accordion) following a user action.
Setting the "visible" property of the child to false does not work.

How can I do this?

Thanks,
Jeroen.
