Hi

Just a few things

this "remoteService" RemoteObject in your Application root, does it
have the same functionality as the one in your popup. If so, you can
reference the <mx:Application >'s remoteobject in your popup by
doing "mx.core.Application.application.remoteService" instead
of "remoteService1" and therefore omit remoteservice1 totally.

i'd say they are isolated but you have to be careful about how you
name your components (my opinion).

Once i came across a component (a mx Form with the usual controls in
it) given the name Alert.mxml. When this Alert.mxml was being
created in my viewstack, its outer edges never looked right. It
infact looked like an alert box! After a name change it was okay.
