Styles are more flexible but also more expensive than plain properties. We could expose some properties like 'x', 'y', 'width', 'height', etc., as styles, just to be consistent with CSS, but I'm not sure if it's in the plans. The styles framework is flexible enough that you can add your own styles easily. See this blog entry in which I explain how to add support for some commonly used CSS styles into your own Canvas-based custom component: http://manish.revise.org/2005/06/controlling-flex-application-layout.html (Hint: think what you can achieve with protohacking.) -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com Yahoo!
