Hello to All:
I have been programming in various desktop environments for over 25
years. The past 10 years in VB and VB.NET.
I have spent the past 10 days studying up on Flex, downloaded the
trial, samples, tutorials, etc. I have installed Flex and Jrun4.
I have previously installed MX Studio 2004 and now have installed
Coldfusion MX 7.
I have read all posts for the past week and can sympathize with many
frustrations.
My situation is this: I am looking for someone in the Florida,
Georgia area who is VERY knowledgeable on Flex and who can be my
tutor/coach for a couple of days.
My goal is:
(1) Get to the "meat" first hand and ASAP
(2) See how you setup various steps in the process
(3) Proper installation and setup of development PC
(4) Take a sample database application of my choice and create
from scratch all code, web services, etc.
(5) Deployment issues
(6) Best practices and why
Examples are nice but, as usual, they assume too much. I have now
reached the point for Plan B. I want to see how you do things and
ask questions based on what I see.
I do not want to go to a 3 day class to learn how to display "Hello
World."
Depending on what you would charge, I see 2-3 days.
My preferred timeframe would be July 6-8. I will come to you unless
see a better reason to come to me. I can bring my development PC.
Anyone interested, please let me know.
If there is no one in the Florida area, I will go where needed.
